Not everyone wants (or can afford) a multi-million dollar custom home. We specialize in smaller, smarter homes (under $750k)-bringing custom quality to buyers who thought it was out of reach. Building smaller does not mean, “cheap”; rather it means building – smart!

Halsey Building Principal has over 13 years of municipality field inspections experience including in a supervisory capacity.
This deep code expertise means your designs are compliant from day one. We maximize buildable area, incorporate quality materials, and align conventional and alternative construction means and methods allowed by Code to achieve project compliance to the plans, specifications, and customer expectations. In many cases, our Code expertise allows us to incorporate complex structural designs into many projects without involving a separate engineer.
In addition to residential work, we hold a North Carolina Commercial Building Contractor license and can assist with select commercial projects including tenant upfits, small retail/office renovations, and commercial structures under 5,000 sf and 2 stories that don’t require architect/engineer seals per NC Building Code Appendix B. We’re experienced with Appendix B form preparation and submission.
Commercial services include: Tenant upfits, small office renovations, retail spaces ≤5,000 sf, warehouse modifications, and Appendix B consultation.
